Eva Mendes' beauty hang-up

Eva Mendes hangs upside down to maintain her stunning looks.

The 34-year-old beauty, who recently sparked controversy with her raunchy Calvin Klein adverts, believes letting blood rush to her head will deter the signs of ageing.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Whether it is a photo session or a hot date, Eva swears by hanging her head down on a slant board for about 20 minutes. Allowing blood flow to your upper body and face will bring on a vibrant, flushed-with-youth look."

Eva recently confessed she hates going to the gym and struggles to control her cravings for junk food.

She said: "I work out once a week doing light weights but on the whole I find gyms so grey and so ugly - I don't want to listen to bad techno music on a treadmill.

"I'll say to myself, 'I can eat this pizza right now, but I will have to add an extra 30 minutes to my exercise today.' Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it's not."

Paris, Britney, Lindsay's star sitcom

Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan are in talks to star in a sitcom together.

US TV network HBO are reportedly keen to sign up the blonde trio - who used to be close friends and were regularly seen partying together in 2006 - to appear as flatmates struggling to make it big in Hollywood, in what has been described as a cross between 'Friends' and 'Ugly Betty'.

A source revealed to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "The chemistry between them will be electric.

"They were very close and have had their ups and downs in the Los Angeles party world but they have overcome those problems now. They can draw from their experiences for the sitcom."
Show chiefs are said to have approached 'Extras' star Ricky Gervais and 'Desperate Housewives' creator Mark Cherry to pen the script, which will see the trio playing characters inspired by themselves.

The source added: "Paris will play a fashion designer who will try anything to get her outfits noticed.

"Britney's character is an aspiring singer, but her unusual song lyrics stop her from hitting the big time.

"Lindsay will be a little like Joey from 'Friends' - obsessed with men and food."

Martha Graham Dance Company to premiere in Beijing

A promotional photo of Martha Graham Dance Company.

America's oldest and most celebrated contemporary dance troupe will perform in China for the first time in its 82 years of history.

The Martha Graham Dance Company will present two set of programs, covering two themes and ten repertoires, from November 27 to 30 at Beijing's National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA).

The theme on November 27 and 28 is named "Mythology &Fable." It interprets several ancient tales in a modern style.

Those tales include "Errand to the Maze," which explores human fear through the myth of Ariadne and the Minotaur, and "Diversions of Angels" which reveals the depth of love in different colours. "Night Journey" is an inspiration by the story of Odepius and Jocasta, and "Acts of Light", choreographed by Graham at 88, takes its title from a letter written by one of her favourite poets, Emily Dickinson.

And then on November 29 and 30, the "American Chronicle" theme will hit the stage. Six dramas created by the legendary choreographer will showcase, from "Serenata Morisca", which brought Graham fame at the age of 22, to her last work "Maple Leaf Rag", choreographed in 1985 when she was 91.

Wu Nan, a project manager with the NCPA, said six months were spent choosing the programs.

"We sent an invitation to the dance company one year ago to squeeze into their tight schedule, and they finally agreed to sacrifice the thanksgiving holiday for a China tour," Wu added.

Martha Graham (1894-1991) is a giant of modern dance. She has choreographed 181 dance dramas and received awards including America's Medal of Freedom. Her impact on dance has been compared to that of Picasso's on painting.

"Her fierce choreography sometimes amazed and sometimes horrified, but in it she embodied modern dance — arrogantly and spectacularly." This was the comment from Time magazine when it listed Graham as "Dancer of the Century" in 1998.

The Martha Graham Dance Company was founded in 1926 and has performed all over the world.

Anne Hathaway:a big 'Weirdo'

Anne Hathaway is "a big weirdo".

The 25-year-old actress said although she loves making mainstream movies like 'The Devil Wears Prada', she also enjoys lending her talents to smaller projects like her new film 'Rachel Getting Married'.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I'm a big weirdo, so I'd love to do much more experimental stuff. And the fact I haven't done it up until now is not through a lack of desire, it's more a lack of opportunity.

"I just think, 'The freakier the better', you know? "I know some of my choices are more mainstream and I think there is a creativity to that as well.

But it's amazing to be able to say at 25-years-old, I have made a wedding movie with Kate Hudson in 'Bride Wars' and to also say I've made a wedding movie with Jonathan Demme."

Demme directs Anne in drama 'Rachel Getting Married', where she plays a drug addict who leaves rehab to attend her sister's wedding.

Cast member Ashley Tisdale poses at the premiere of the movie "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" at Galen Center in Los Angeles October 16, 2008.

It also became the first global box office leader since the sixth Batman film "The Dark Knight" was released in July.

"High School Musical 3," which tells the story of students of a fictional New Mexico high school preparing for their graduation performance and attracts audience comprising mostly pre-teen girls and their families, opened in the United States and Canada this weekend simultaneously with 23 overseas markets, including Britain, Germany and Spain.

Meanwhile, Liongate's horror sequel "Saw V" opened in second place with 30.5 million dollars in North America in this pre-Halloween weekend. It was the first time that the franchise didn't make to the top of box office since the original "Saw" debuted No.3 in 2004.

Last week's box office leader, 20th Century Fox's video game adaptation "Max Payne" was in third place with 7.6 million dollars, followed by Disney animal comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" and Warner Bros.' criminal drama "Pride and Glory," a new release, respectively with 6.9 million dollars and 6.3 million dollars.

Hollywood's weekend revenues soared with the combined performance of "High School Musical 3" and "Saw V," as the top-selling 12 movies took in 120.5 million dollars over the three-day period, up 41 percent from the same weekend a year ago.

Eva Mendes: Love is sexiest thing in the world

Eva Mendes says "love is the sexiest thing in the world."

The 34-year-old actress - who is dating producer George Augusto - admits she likes nothing more than being in a relationship.

Eva, the face of Calvin Klein's Secret Obsession fragrance, said: "My secret obsession is love. I love 'love!' I love being in love, and I love having someone be in love with me. Love is the sexiest thing in the world."

Eva also revealed she vowed not to lose weight for the raunchy photo shoot for Calvin Klein's Seductive Comfort underwear line.

The actress, who is seen clad in skimpy lingerie complete with tousled hair, told America's OK! magazine: "To prepare for the Calvin Klein shoot, all I did differently was increase my cardio for two weeks because I wanted these images to look like my real, healthy body. I didn't want to show up looking like the skinny version of me. I wanted the real version of me up there.

Beckham to play away from Victoria

Victoria Beckham waves after posing for photographers during a presentation of her clothes collection at a store in downtown Madrid, October 16, 2008.
Victoria Beckham will stay in Los Angeles when her husband moves to Italy.

The former Spice Girl will reportedly not be joining soccer star David Beckham when he joins AC Milan on loan from his current U.S. team Los Angeles Galaxy.
David - who has three children with Victoria; Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, six, and Cruz, three - is set to sign a short-term contract because the US Major Soccer League season is nearly over and he is desperate to remain fit to play in England's World Cup qualifying matches.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "David loves spending time in America with Victoria and his kids but he knows how vital it is to play top-flight football in order to maintain his England place.

"He will try to get back to Los Angeles as much as possible but it's not an easy commute.

"It's going to be difficult for his family. But his kids are in school there and Victoria is settled working in fashion, so it makes sense for them to stay there."

Earlier this week, it was reported David and Victoria's marriage was under increasing pressure because their busy careers are forcing the couple to spend large amounts of time apart.

It is thought David's new deal could be "the straw which break's the camel's back."

A source said, "Victoria still believes they can make it big in America, but she fears a move back to Europe could kill off their Hollywood future forever."

Anne Hathaway's punch pleasure

Anne Hathaway was excited about punching Oscar-nominated actress Debra Winger.

Although she had to remain professional when pretending to hit her 'Rachel Getting Married' co-star, Anne admits it was a "pretty cool" scene to shoot.
She told BANG Showbiz: "Leading up to it, I thought, 'Oh my God, I get to have a scene with Debra Winger and we're punching each other. But when we did it was very much about the acting.'

"It does look very real. We rehearsed it quite a bit. I'd love to have some dramatic story of how Debra and I grabbed each other by the shoulders and made bull faces and breathed through our noses in order to rev ourselves up - but it's just acting.

"But afterwards I was like, 'I just punched Debra Winger!' "

'Rachel Getting Married' had its UK premiere at the London Film Festival in Leicester Square on Tuesday night.

In the movie, Anne plays recovering drug addict Kym who has returned from rehab for her sister's wedding, while Debra stars as her mother.

Beyonce Knowles' "exciting" new life

Beyonce Knowles arrives, wearing an engagement ring, for the 2008 Fashion Rocks concert to begin the 2009 Spring/Summer Fashion Week in New York September 5, 2008. Knowles married hip-hop mogul Jay-Z in a lavish private celebration in Manhattan on April 4.

Beyonce Knowles is "terrified, but excited" about married life.

The "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" singer - who wed Jay-Z earlier this year - admits it is taking time for her to get used to her new relationship status.

She said, "This is a new chapter for me. I'm terrified, but excited. It's like I'm a new woman!"

The 27-year-old beauty also revealed Jay-Z has inspired a lot of songs on her new record 'I Am?', adding, "I am happy right now and this album has a lot of love songs that talk about my emotions - me naked with my heart exposed."

Beyonce also spoke about her role as blues singer Etta James in upcoming film 'Cadillac Records', a role for which she was required to gain 15lbs.

She told America's InStyle magazine, "It was way easier - and tastier - than having to lose so much weight for 'Dreamgirls'. I also studied Etta's mannerisms and tried to make them my own.
My performance, my posture - everything was so different from who I am. It was difficult."

A-Rod moves closer to Madonna as her sexless marriage ends

Following Madonna's divorce announcement, her rumoured lover Alex Rodriguez is moving in a bid to be closer to the singer.

The baseball player, nickname A-Rod, is said to be keen to make his romance with the 50-year-old singer public, and thinks relocating nearer her New York home would make their relationship stronger, according to media reports on Tuesday.

A source close to the sportsman said, "A-Rod was living in an apartment on Columbus Circle, five blocks from Madonna's New York base in Central Park West. But now he wants to move three blocks north to 15 Central Park West - meaning he would only be two blocks away from Madonna."

Singer Madonna (L) and director Guy Ritchie arrive on the red carpet at the 61st Cannes Film Festival May 21, 2008.

It was recently claimed Madonna and A-Rod - who were first linked in the northern summer - had been enjoying clandestine meetings since July 2007 at a "secret love shack", a New York apartment rented by the sports star.

Madonna and estranged husband Guy Ritchie's announced divorce last week, who didn't have sex for 18 months as their marriage crumbled.

The couple - who announced last week they were separating, ending months of rumours - reportedly didn't get close beneath the sheets because the 'Hung Up' singer was too tired for love due to her gruelling daily 4-hour workouts.

A friend close to the pair said, "Guy got more and more frustrated as she spent nearly half the day exercising. When she did eventually get home she'd be too tired to make love.

"When the cracks first started to show, Guy would plead with her to spend more time with him but she wouldn't. She'd insist she did her four-hour workout. They've been apart so much in the last two years that their opportunities to make love would have been fairly limited. They've also been in separate rooms a lot after big rows so there wasn't any chance to make up."

New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez reacts to striking out in the first inning of their MLB American League baseball game against the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas August 7, 2008.

It has also been claimed that Guy, 40, found 50-year-old Madonna's super-toned body a turn-off, and yearned for the soft, womanly curves she had when they first fell in love after meeting in 1999.

The 'RocknRolla' director is reported to have confided in a friend he was finding his superstar star spouse less attractive the more fitness obsessed she became.

The pal told Britain's News of the World newspaper, "After a few drinks one evening, Guy said it was like cuddling up to a piece of gristle. All the soft feminine tones had been replaced by the build of an athlete."

It has also been claimed the estranged couple did have a pre-nuptial agreement in place before they tied the knot at Scotland's Skibo Castle in December 2000.

Guy - who is believed to be worth £30 million - will reportedly receive around £12 million in cash, the pair's 1,200 acre Wiltshire estate and their London pub the Punchbowl in the settlement.

He cannot claim any of the £300 million fortune Madonna has amassed during their seven-and-a-half year union.

However, it is still not clear what the custody arrangements will be regarding the three children Madonna and Guy raise together - 12-year-old Lourdes, the singer's daughter with dancer Carlos Leon, son Rocco, eight, and adopted son David Banda, three.

Tom Cruise is not dead

Actor Tom Cruise smiles before the start of a National Football League game between the New York Jets and Washington Redskins in East Rutherford, New Jersey,August, 16 2008.

Tom Cruise did not plunge to his death from a cliff in New Zealand on Wednesday morning.

The 46-year-old actor - who has two adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman and a biological daughter with wife Katie Holmes - admits he was as surprised as anybody when he heard internet rumours he had either fallen or jumped off the country's famous Kauri Cliffs.

Tom's representative Jeff Raymond said: "This is completely not true. Tom is not in New Zealand nor has he been there recently. This is erroneous and unreliable internet garbage." This is not the first time a false report about the cliffs has made it onto the web.

Two years ago, it was reported 'Castaway' actor Tom Hanks had fallen from the sheer drop and died.

It was later discovered the story had stemmed from a hoax website which allows users to type celebrities' names into story templates.

Obama Girl Needs a Running Mate!

Hollywood studio delays movie releases due to economic crisis

The current financial crisis undergoing in Wall Street and Corporate America has begun to impact the entertainment industry, despite the fact that Hollywood typically takes advantage of such hard times to allure frustrated consumers into movie theaters.

Paramount Pictures is shuffling its fall and holiday season release schedule by delaying two star-driven drama movies, probably due to the economic crisis, studio budget woes and market competition, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Paramount Pictures is shuffling its fall and holiday season release schedule by delaying two star-driven drama movies, probably due to the economic crisis.

The studio will push "The Soloist" from Thanksgiving week to March 13 and "Defiance" from mid-December to a limited, Oscar-qualifying December 31 release, followed by a wide expansion in January.

Paramount said this week that it would streamline its release slate going forward, aiming to put out no more than 20 movies a year. The studio's management is under heightened pressure from corporate parent Viacom to find efficiencies amid a tough economic climate, according to the report.

"The Soloist," starring Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx as a homeless violin player, will still open the American Film Institute Festival in Los Angeles late this month, but the release date change knocks it out of the 2008 race for the Academy Awards and other honors.

The economic crisis might have made November an awkward time to release a movie about homelessness, studio executives privately told the newspaper, although "The Soloist" is meant to be an uplifting tale.

Meanwhile, Paramount is delaying the release of World War II drama "Defiance" starring Daniel Craig as the studio may want more distance from the latest James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" from Sony Pictures. The 007 movie film, also starring Craig, is scheduled to open November 14.

Another consideration is that the delay could allow the studio to push off much of the movie's release costs to next year, according to the report.

Vanessa Hudgens: I got attacked

Vanessa Hudgens claims she was attacked last week, not Zac Efron.

The 'High School Musical' stars - who are enjoying an off-screen romance - were leaving London's Apollo theatre last Wednesday when a man in his 40s pushed past security to approach the pair.

Although it had been reported he lunged for Zac, 20, his 19-year-old girlfriend insists the unnamed man cut her face.

She told US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "I actually got hit in the face! If anything, I was the one who got attacked, not Zac.

"There was a guy who was walking down the street and I think he was a little drunk and he got pushed into the craziness of it all. He was blocking the door so our bodyguard had to push him aside.

"I looked in the mirror and got a huge scratch and I was bleeding."

Zac has revealed he wasn't even aware of the attack until they returned to their waiting car.

He said: "I just heard about it. I was just focused on the van door - I've got to get to it. I got in the van and we drove away. I don't remember getting harassed."

Jolie: Obama win would be "nice" for family

Angelina Jolie isn't giving away who she's backing in the U.S. presidential election, but she does have good things to say about Barack Obama.

The actress and activist tells the German edition of Vanity Fair that the Democratic contender for president comes down on the same side of several issues that she does.

Angelina Jolie (right) and Brad Pitt are seen here as they leave the Festival Palace during the 61st Cannes International Film Festival, on May 20, in southern France.

Asked if she finds Obama and his background an example to her family, she replies, "Naturally that's good, but it's not a sufficient reason to vote for him.

"Obama fights for international justice, he wants to militarily intervene in cases of genocide, and close Guantanamo Bay. These are the things that could move me to vote for him, not his roots."

She then adds, "Naturally, an American president like Barack Obama would be nice for my family."

Jolie and actor Brad Pitt are parents to six children, three of whom were adopted from other nations - Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Obama's family similarly has members from different countries: his mother is American and his late father was Kenyan.

Jolie's father, Jon Voight, has campaigned for Republican candidate John McCain.

Angelina Jolie's acting U-turn

Angelina Jolie planned to give up acting. The actress, who recently gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne, revealed partner Brad Pitt persuaded her to return to work rather than caring full-time for their six children.

Actress Angelina Jolie arrives for the New York Film Festival premiere of "Changeling" in New York, Oct. 4, 2008.

She said: "We had a big discussion about whether I should go back to work at all, but Brad said it was a part of me as well and it would be alright, so we're trying to balance it out."

Despite admitting she wants to expand her family further, 33-year-old Angelina admitted having such a large family does cause problems - because she and Brad, 44, struggle to get time alone.

She explained: "Even if we lock our door the children come knocking. "We often try to have a bath alone together at the end of the night and sit and talk, but they hear the water and want to jump in.

Angelina Jolie takes three of her children, Shilo, 2, Zahara (L-2), 3, and Pax(L), 5, for a walk in the French Quarter and stopped at Verdi Mart for some snacks.

"But it's fun and lovely - the thing about having six is once you get past three or four, it's just so crazy anyway that it's just more chaos and that's OK."

The actress - who says her daily routine starts at 4.30 a.m. - also spoke of her delight at how well the couple's other children have welcomed the twins into the family.

She added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's so much fun but it's very hard work. The kids are forming beautiful friendships. They're teammates and they're very loving to the babies."

Meanwhile, Angelina revealed her latest tattoos at the premiere of her new movie, "The Changeling," in New York this weekend.

The actress already had the latitude and longitude of where each of her children - adopted trio Maddox, seven, Pax, four, and Zahara three, and biological daughter Shiloh, two - were born and has had the coordinates of her twins' French birthplace added.

Hilton continues online "presidential campaign"

Watch out world: Paris Hilton is continuing her bid for the White House.

In this Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 file photo, Paris Hilton arrives at the launch party of new MTV series "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" in Los Angeles.

The paparazzi darling and reality TV star touted her candidacy in a video on FunnyOrDie.com Wednesday — her second appearance in a political spoof on the site.

"Running for fake president is a little daunting," a heavily made-up Hilton tells Martin Sheen, whom she calls "one of our greatest fake presidents."

"Being a fake president is a lot harder today than it was when I was a fake president," says Sheen, who has often played American presidents, most notably on TV's "The West Wing."

Hilton talks with Sheen about "Fo Po" — "Foreign policy, silly" — and shares what could be her real views on the economy and the war in Iraq.

"Iraq has a Democratic government that is asking for us to leave," she says. "It seems that we've done our job and we should bring our troops home safely."

Economically, "this is the biggest depression since 'The Notebook,'" Hilton says, adding that the government should "lower inflated interest rates so it's not impossible for (people) to pay their mortgage."

As Sheen tells Hilton she's "going to make a great fake president," his son, Charlie Sheen, pops in with a promise to "fake vote" for her.

Hilton bids the elder Sheen farewell with a kitten-voiced, "Bye, sexy," then tells the camera: "See you at the fake inauguration."

The 27-year-old heiress said in a statement that she hopes the video inspires people to consider the issues and vote in the real presidential election.

"I hope that my political opponents take in consideration the points that I have addressed because I feel that they are important and, as well as, that my generation and the new young voters should become more involved with our current issues and speak their voice through voting," Hilton said.

"This is the most important presidential election in decades and voting is the only way that you have a voice for change," Hilton added.
