Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are 'good'

Vanessa Hudgens is on good terms with ex-boyfriend Zac Efron.

The 22-year-old actress - whose four-year relationship with her 'High School Musical' co-star recently came to an end - insists things are amicable between her and Zac and says 2010 has been a "good year" for her.

The pretty brunette - who has two films, 'Beastly' and 'Sucker Punch', coming out next year - said: "We're good. [It was a] good year.

"I worked a lot in 2009. I did two movies back to back, so this year I just hung out, took it easy, did a play which was a lot of fun, did a movie and now the year is coming to an end before I know it."

However, in 2011 Vanessa - who will also be starring in 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' next year - will be working harder than ever.

Speaking as she celebrated her 22nd birthday on Saturday night (18.12.10) at Las Vegas' Pure Nightclub with friends Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow, she added to People: "It's going to be a very, very busy year. I have three movies coming out in the next year, so I'm excited to see what the future is going to hold."

Uma Thurman stalker jailed in New York

Uma Thurman arrives for the British premiere of ''The Accidental Husband'' in London's Leicester Square February 13, 2008.

A man serving probation on a two-year-old conviction for stalking actress Uma Thurman and harassing her family was jailed on Friday on new charges that he resumed stalking the actress, authorities said.

Jack Jordan, 39, was arrested in November at his home in Montgomery County, Maryland as he was researching the Oscar-nominated actress on Google, and he was transferred to New York on Thursday to face the fresh stalking charge.

Jordan on Friday pleaded not guilty in front of a Manhattan judge and was jailed without bail, a spokesman for the Brooklyn District Attorney's office said.

Jordan was convicted in 2008 of sending harassing e-mails to Thurman's father and brother, loitering for hours on the steps of the actress's Manhattan apartment and visiting her trailer on the set of the 2006 film "My Super Ex-Girlfriend." At the time, he was given probation.

Thurman, who testified at Jordan's 2008 trial, starred in the "Kill Bill" movies and has a long list of film credits that include roles in "Pulp Fiction" and "The Producers."

Bruni says Sarkozy often thinks about second term

French President Nicolas Sarkozy often thinks about whether to run for a second term in 2012, his wife, former supermodel Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, said on Wednesday.

Sarkozy, who was elected in 2007, has yet to say whether he will seek a second five-year term and has given himself until the second half of 2011 to make up his mind.

Asked if Sarkozy had sought her opinion on running again for the presidency, Bruni-Sarkozy told reporters: "He asks for my opinion about many things, as many husbands and wives do.

"But as far as that decision is concerned, it's a choice that is up to him alone," she said.

"I think he reflects a lot about it, but I'm not going to get involved. It's too important, too difficult, too personal for me to get involved. But I will follow him whatever he does," she added.

Sarkozy, his popularity ratings hovering close to record lows, is fighting to regain public confidence after pushing through an unpopular pension reform in October.

His entourage is drumming up support for a second bid and the opposition has accused him of governing as though he were already on the campaign trail.

Asked if she wanted to remain France's first lady after 2012, Bruni-Sarkozy said: "He was the one elected by the French, all that depends on him. I would be glad (to stay)."

The catwalk star-turned-chanteuse and Sarkozy married in February 2008, four months after Sarkozy divorced his second wife.

Carey Mulligan doesn't feel sexy

Carey Mulligan has never felt sexy.

The 24-year-old actress - who recently split from her 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' co-star Shia LaBeouf - hates wearing skimpy clothes and thinks she is too sensible to be considered a sex symbol.

She said: "I've never felt like a sexy person. I've always felt like a sensible person. I've always felt absurd wearing anything revealing."

Talking of the Hollywood trend to look a certain way, the British star added that she has never felt bad about her looks - although she won't wear short skirts because she doesn't like her legs.

She told Britain's Elle magazine: "I've always felt different here. I remember going up for auditions, walking into rooms of girls in denim minis, with cut off tank tops, tanned legs, long hair and manicures, thinking, 'Erm.' But it never made me feel bad. I've never felt pressure to look like that."

Instead of worrying about her wardrobe, Carey is more interested in being a good actress who is respected for her talent.

She said: "I'm not trying to sell myself as a visual. I'm selling my willingness to play a part really well. If your body doesn't look normal, how can you convey normal people, how can you be relatable?"

Christina Aguilera agonised over divorce

Christina Aguilera felt "torn" about ending her marriage.

The singer announced she had split from music executive Jordan Bratman - with who she has two-year-old son Max - in October after almost five years of marriage and though she had been unhappy for a long time, she agonised over the effect their separation would have on family life.

She said: "Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it. I really didn't want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up."

Though she felt torn about ending her marriage to Jordan, Christina - whose own parents divorced when she was seven years old - felt it would be the best for Max if his mother and father went their separate ways.

She explained to People magazine: "When you're unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer. That's the last thing I wanted for my son."

The 29-year-old star is now dating Matthew Rutler, a set assistant on her new movie 'Burlesque', and she is amazed at how easy he is to speak to.

She said: "He's the kind of person you could spend hours with on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it's daylight."

Speedy bride Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene thinks she could be the first of her friends to marry.

The 23-year-old actress - who has been dating singer Joe Jonas for around four months - doesn't consider walking down the aisle essential in a committed relationship, but wouldn't be surprised if she has a change of heart.

She told the January issue of America's Cosmopolitan magazine: "I'm indifferent about marriage. I think sometimes people get married so they can say they have that person forever, but a ring doesn't ensure that you'll stay together.

"Watch, now that I've said that I will be the first of my friends to get married!"

Ashley recently revealed she and her 21-year-old boyfriend were almost arrested in Abu Dhabi airport after the 'Camp Rock' star accidentally put some newly-bought cheese knives into his carry-on bag.

She explained: "We were going from the Middle East to New York, so there was tons of security, tons of screenings. We got through one, surprisingly enough.

"The second one we got to and they stopped and looked at us with these really stern faces. They were like, 'What's in your bag?' I look at Joe and there are these flashbacks of this knife set we got. They were cheese cutting knives. I look at Joe and I'm like, 'Did you leave the knives in the bag?' He's like, 'Whoopsies.'

"Whoopsies doesn't cut it. We were going to get arrested!

"I was sitting there finding it hysterical because there was this big guy going through his bag saying, 'Heels? Panty hose?' "
