Paris Hilton's mother upset by split
Paris Hilton's mother is "heartbroken" over her split from Cy Waits.
The socialite called time on her relationship with nightclub owner Cy after 18 months last week, leaving her mother, Kathy, upset for them both.
Speaking about Cy, She told the E! news service: "He really is an angel. I do adore him. My heart is broken. That's why I don't like getting close to the boyfriends because they become like a part of the family."
Kathy added she has advised her eldest daughter – who split with Cy as he couldn't handle her celebrity lifestyle - not to look for anther boyfriend, and instead concentrate on spending some quality time with her family.
She added: "I think it's very hard to be with somebody that's in the limelight when you're really not into that.
"The thing is, she goes from one boyfriend to the next. I think she will be single for a while. I told her, you need girlfriend time right now and family time. We don't need to just put a Band-Aid on this."
Kathy is also a huge fan of traditional family values, and was left shocked when a few months ago Paris, 30, told her she thought she may be pregnant with Cy's baby.
She explained: "It was very emotional. For my children, I dreamed of the wedding first and then children.
"I'm a traditional girl. I met my husband at 15, got married at 19, got pregnant a year later and then had three children after that."

Beyonce Knowles buys shoe selection for Solange
Beyonce Knowles has splashed out on 25 pairs of designer shoes for her sister's 25th birthday.
The 'Run The World (Girls)' hitmaker - who closed the Glastonbury Festival in England last night (26.06.11) - arranged for the huge haul of luxury shoes to be collected from department stores Saks and Bergdorf in New York and delivered to her younger sibling Solange on her special day on Friday (24.06.11), according to the New York Post newspaper.
Solange celebrated her birthday with 20 friends at the Lavo (Palazzo) restaurant and nightclub in Las Vegas where the group enjoyed dinner before the singer-and-model was presented with a cake in the club.
Beyonce, 29, is known for her generosity towards her loved ones, last year she treated her rap star husband Jay-Z to a $2 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport car - the world's fastest road vehicle - for his 41st birthday on December 4.
The '99 Problems' rapper - who already has a vast car collection, was thrilled with the surprise speedy gift, which Beyonce had to order a year in advance.
A source revealed at the time: "Jay-Z has one of the most enviable collections of bling cars in the world - but even for him the Bugatti is special.
"Obviously the money isn't a factor for Beyonce, but he will be touched that out of everything she could have bought him, she chose something he'll treasure for years."

Russell Brand, Beyonce invited to be Oscar voters
Beyonce (C) performs with the top female contestants during the season 10 American Idol Grand Finale at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles California May 25, 2011.
Even after struggling to establish himself as a Hollywood leading man, raunchy English comedian Russell Brand has been invited to become an Oscar voter.
He is among 178 actors, filmmakers and other Hollywood notables invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization said on Friday.
Brand was most recently in theaters with a critically mauled remake of "Arthur," which grossed just $33 million at the North American box office. Last year he was seen in "The Tempest" ($280,000) and "Get Him to the Greek" ($61 million).
Also on the list are R&B singer and occasional actress Beyonce Knowles, "Hangover" star Bradley Cooper, the husband-and-wife duo of David Duchovny and Tea Leoni, and a crop of 2011 Oscar nominees including Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence and Australian actress Jacki Weaver.
Tom Hooper, who won the best director Oscar this year for "The King's Speech," was among the eight directors invited. Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier whose "In a Better World" won for foreign-language film, also made the cut, as did Aaron Sorkin, the Oscar-winning writer of "The Social Network."
In a symbolic gesture, the list includes "Restrepo" co-director Tim Hetherington, who was recently killed during the Libya uprising.
The academy said its voting membership has held steady at just under 6,000 people since 2003.
Susan Boyle story to be turned into musical
Scottish singer Susan Boyle sings "I Dreamed a Dream" on the Danish relief show "The Denmark Collection" at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen in this January 30, 2010
Scottish singer Susan Boyle, who shot to stardom in 2009 when her performance on a television singing contest became an internet hit, will see her life portrayed on stage in a new musical.
"I Dreamed a Dream," named after the title of the song she sang that made her an overnight celebrity, will tour internationally from 2012 after premiering at Theater Royal in Newcastle, England, on March 23.
"I never thought my life story would end up on the stage but a lot has happened in two years and it is a very exciting prospect," Boyle said.
"I hope everyone enjoys the show and I promise there will be a few surprises along the way," she added in a statement.
Boyle will be played by actress Elaine Smith, best known for her role in the British comedy series "Rab C Nesbitt" and a favorite of the singer.
Boyle's rendition of I Dreamed a Dream was viewed some 300 million times on the YouTube video sharing site, and within days she was a global singing sensation.
Under the tutelage of music producer Simon Cowell, who was a judge on "Britain's Got Talent" when Boyle performed, she has gone on to record two albums and sell some 14 million copies.
Producer Michael Harrison said of the show: "It's got all the qualities of a fairytale, but with the added bonus of being absolutely true."

Taylor Swift attracts Owl
Owl City star Adam Young has a crush on Taylor Swift.
The musician has confessed he was blown away when the singer wrote the track 'Enchanted' - which was included on her 2010 LP 'Speak Now' - about him, and has revealed the pair shared a romantic email exchange for a few months last year.
Although they never ended up dating, Adam - who recorded a cover of the track which he posted on his website on Valentine's Day (14.02.11) - admits he has strong feelings for Taylor.
He said: "She's a great person, and I am so inspired by her music and the person herself. She is who her music makes her out to be. She's a superstar and I'm just this kid from a small town in the middle of nowhere, so I feel like that peasant in the midst of a princess and that whole classic story. But who knows? There's no telling."
The 'Fireflies' hitmaker admits the first time he met Taylor backstage after one of his concerts in New York he was "wonder-struck" by her.
He recalled: "I met her in New York and she came to one of my shows and after the show I was backstage in the green room and she was on her way up to meet me and that was the most nerve-wracking few minutes of my life just waiting to meet Taylor Swift. When I met her she was glowing and I was too. It's hard to put into words, but I was definitely wonder-struck to meet her."
Adam, 24, isn't sure why he and 21-year-old Taylor - who dated actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the last three months of 2010 - never ended up going on an actual date, but he still thinks Taylor is "wonderful".
When asked why their relationship never got beyond emails, he told Us Weekly magazine: "I don't know. I think that I'm not the most romantic and eloquent guy in the world. She's just this endearing, wonderful girl and maybe I said something wrong, who knows? It went on for three or four months, something like that."
