If the combination is right, two of anything can act together to produce a sum that's larger than two. However, according to Forbes, one plus one equals "millions" when it comes to celebrity couples - $283 million, to be exact. That's the estimated sum earned by the world's highest-paid celebrity couples between May 2010 and May 2011, according to data from Forbes' latest Celebrity 100 list.

1. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady: $76 million

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen had a busy year, thanks to her fashion and endorsement deals and a few business ventures. With a $45 million paycheck in her pocket, Bundchen could become the world's first billionaire supermodel. NFL superstar Tom Brady, who married Bundchen in 2009, has just signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension with the New England Patriots. He has earned a whopping $31 million within the 12-month period, putting the duo's gross annual earning at $76 million.

Gisele Bundchen's sandal collection is inspired by marine life.

The supermodel - who endorses the footwear made by Ipanema - is donating profits from her new range to the Tamar Project, an organisation which studies and protects sea turtles, after becoming fascinated by the endangered creatures.

She said: "It all began when I was at my home in Costa Rica. I saw the turtles were dying. These animals are essential to marine life. They're part of the ecosystem. That's why we started looking for a project that supported the continued existence of the species. We hit on the Tamar project.

"The entire new Gisele Bundchen Ipanema collection is based on marine life."

Despite admitting she is "not a designer", the Brazilian beauty insists she is heavily involved in the creative process for coming up with the footwear.

She added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "I do as much as I can. It's a collaboration. I'm not a designer, but I throw myself into everything else.

"I come up with ideas, I meet the designers, I tell them what I want and once everything comes together, I give the final approval.

"The shoes have sentimental value because they reflect the things that matter to me."

Gisele Bundchen wants big family

Gisele Bundchen wants to have more children.

The Brazilian supermodel says four-month-old Benjamin, her son with her American footballer husband Tom Brady, has enriched her life so much she definitely wants more kids and claims she "couldn't care less" about the impact more pregnancies could have on her body.

She said: "I want to have lots of children. It doesn't matter if my body changes. It is the most marvellous thing. For example, they sometimes say that your breasts begin to sag, but I couldn't care less."

Since Benjamin was born Gisele admits her priorities have changed and although she is still focused on her fashion career, raising her son is her main concern.

She added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "I'm not quitting the catwalk nor giving up my career as a model. I'm simply going to slow down because I want to spend more time with my son.

"Benjamin is the loveliest thing. He's incredible. The love feel for him is indescribable. All I want in life is to be a good mother. I want to teach him good values, which is the most important thing a mother can give to her child."

Gisele Bundchen races away from rats

Gisele Bundchen is being plagued by rats.

The Brazilian supermodel screamed in horror after seeing one of the rodents which have infested her street, in New York's West Village area - where stars including Rupert Everett and Michael Cera also live.

A source said: "There's been a parade of big fat rats every night. You can hear shrieks from fighting rats and from girls walking by who see the rats.

"They come out from a building where the owner hasn't bothered to replace stolen garbage cans, leaving the rats to fight over all the trash on the street."

Gisele is not the first star to be plagued by pests.

Kate Moss was recently driven to despair after her home was invaded by a neighbour's doves.

A source explained: "The doves entered the place via the veranda and took up residence. They caused havoc, setting off her state-of-the-art alarm and making a real stink - literally!

"They relieved themselves over her antique furniture leaving unsightly stains and a vile smell. Kate spent hours running around the place trying to make them fly away."

Gisele Bundchen to wed again

Gisele Bundchen is to marry Tom Brady for a second time.

The pair - who wed in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles last month - are planning to tie the knot again in front of 50 friends and family in Costa Rica.

Although the venue has not been revealed, the service is believed to be taking place in April, according to gossip website Radar Online.

Gisele and Tom married in a "small and intimate" Catholic ceremony on February 26, with only their close friends and Gisele's three dogs in attendance.

The 28-year-old model wore a fitted ivory lace Dolce and Gabbana gown, while her pooches had matching Dolce and Gabbana lace collars.

The couple have since travelled to Gisele's hometown of Horizontina in southern Brazil for their honeymoon.

A source said: "The trip was a chance for Tom to meet Gisele's relatives, including her sisters, aunts and uncles, and to enjoy a bit of a party."

Gisele recently admitted she is keen to start a family with Tom, who already has an 18-month-old son from a previous relationship.

She said: "I want to have a big family. My parents have been together for 36 years, and that is what I want.

"I love kids. It's amazing that I have the opportunity to hang out with my stepson all the time."

Gisele Bundchen says discovering Tom Brady had a love child was a "wake up call".

The Brazilian supermodel, who married American football star Tom in February, was left reeling after Tom's ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan announced she was pregnant soon after they began dating in 2006.

She said: "It was definitely a surprise for both of us. In the beginning you're living this romantic fantasy, you're thinking, 'This can't be true, it's so good!' And then, 'Whoops - wake-up call!' " Gisele had only been dating Tom for around two months when Bridget discovered she was pregnant and admits she considered dumping the athlete after hearing the news.

Gisele told Vanity Fair magazine: "It was a very challenging situation. Obviously, in the beginning of a relationship it's not the ideal thing. "You question at times, 'Should I stay here? Maybe you should work this out.' But when people break up, it's for a reason."

The 28-year-old beauty is glad she decided to stay with Tom and says the rocky patch brought them even closer. Gisele quickly bonded with Tom's son John, who is now six months old, and treats him like her own child.

She said: "I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child. I feel it is, 100 per cent. I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that's important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. "All this was a blessing. It made me feel more in love with Tom, it made me realise who he was."

The much-awaited marriage of Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and National Football League star Tom Brady took place in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica Thursday.

US Weekly reported the marriage at a Catholic church in Santa Monica, Califi, was mostly attended by her immediate family members. The bride wore Dolce & Gabbana as did her three dogs.

The 28-year-old Bundchen has been dating the 31-year-old New England Patriots quarterback since 2006. She was previously linked with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Forbes.com reported last May that she was the world's highest-paid supermodel, with estimated annual earnings of 35 million U.S. dollars.

Brady has an 18-month-old son with actress Bridget Moynahan, with whom he broke up about the time she got pregnant, the entertainment magazine reported.
