Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are 'good'

Vanessa Hudgens is on good terms with ex-boyfriend Zac Efron.

The 22-year-old actress - whose four-year relationship with her 'High School Musical' co-star recently came to an end - insists things are amicable between her and Zac and says 2010 has been a "good year" for her.

The pretty brunette - who has two films, 'Beastly' and 'Sucker Punch', coming out next year - said: "We're good. [It was a] good year.

"I worked a lot in 2009. I did two movies back to back, so this year I just hung out, took it easy, did a play which was a lot of fun, did a movie and now the year is coming to an end before I know it."

However, in 2011 Vanessa - who will also be starring in 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' next year - will be working harder than ever.

Speaking as she celebrated her 22nd birthday on Saturday night (18.12.10) at Las Vegas' Pure Nightclub with friends Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow, she added to People: "It's going to be a very, very busy year. I have three movies coming out in the next year, so I'm excited to see what the future is going to hold."

After surviving the leaked nude photos scandal in 2007, Vanessa Hudgens may have done it again.

Back in 2007, nude pictures of then 18-year-old "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens were leaked. The Disney star claimed the photos were intended only for boyfriend Zac Efron, said she regretted taking them and apologized to her fans.

Now, two years later, it seems she may have done it again. It is still unclear if this is Hudgens or a remarkable look-a-like, but what is clear is numerous scantily clad and nude photos snapped on a cell phone in what appears to be a bedroom.

Several web sites have picked up the photos. Reps have yet to confirm or deny their legitimacy, but the leak comes just before her the release of her new film "Bandslam," which opens on August 14.

Vanessa Hudgens quits singing

Vanessa Hudgens doesn't want to appear in any more musicals.

The 'High School Musical' star wants to stop singing for a while to focus on sharpening her acting skills.

She said: "I mean, I love musicals, I really do. I grew up doing them, so it'll always have a place in my heart. At the same time, it's nice to be able to separate the two and just be able to focus on films. It's a lot of fun playing different characters and taking on new journeys."

The 'Bandslam' actress - who is currently filming her first non-musical role in 'Beastly' - also insists she has no plans to release any more albums.

She added to MTV News: "Honestly, I'm kind of taking a break from music right now. I'm just focusing on films and acting. I feel like when I'm doing something I really want, I focus on that and try to not spread myself all over the place."

Vanessa is not the only star to distance herself from musicals. Vanessa's boyfriend and 'High School Musical' co-star Zac Efron recently pulled out of a planned appearance in the 'Footloose' remake amid fears he would be typecast as a singing-and-dancing star, not a serious actor.

Zac Efron still hot for Hudgens

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens can't keep their hands off each other.

The 'High School Musical' co-stars - who have been dating since they started filming the Disney franchise in 2005 - looked closer than ever as they partied at Teddy's bar in Los Angeles after the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (31.05.09).

A source said: "They were holding hands, dancing close and always had their arms around each other."

The couple, who have been dogged by rumours they are set to split, were joined by a host of other celebrities at the exclusive venue including 'What Happens in Vegas' star Cameron Diaz and 'Twilight' co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Meanwhile, Zac has revealed he turned down the lead role in upcoming musical movie 'Footloose' because he needs a holiday.

He said: "I have to regroup because this is all kind of crazy and there's lots of people here, but it doesn't make you feel like a real person. So it's nice to take some time off and remember what your life's about."

The 21-year-old hunk is thrilled the role will be played by 'Gossip Girl' star Chace Crawford instead.

He said: "I'm ecstatic for him. We're both in very different places and it just happened to work out. I think it's going to work out for the best."

Vanessa Hudgens to date new men?

Vanessa Hudgens has told boyfriend Zac Efron she wants to date other men.

The 20-year-old actress - who met her 21-year-old beau when they were both starring in 'High School Musical' - was reportedly livid after hearing Zac doesn't want to get married until he is 40, and decided to make him jealous by seeing other people.

A source said: "When Vanessa heard about Zac's plan to stay single for the next couple of decades she was shocked and shattered. She'd secretly hoped for an engagement ring within the next year or two!"

After discussing the matter with her friends, Vanessa is believed to have told Zac she wants the freedom to go out with other guys.

The source added to National Enquirer magazine: "Zac's totally upset - he doesn't want Vanessa dating anyone else. Even though he's not ready to commit himself to settling down at this stage of his young life, the thought of Vanessa in another man's arms drives him crazy."

Vanessa Hudgens is "in love" with Angelina Jolie.

The actress - who is dating her 'High School Musical' co-star Zac Efron - is obsessed with the 'Wanted' star and dreams of following in her footsteps.

She told Self magazine: "I'm in love with Angelina Jolie. Everything she does, I adore.

"I'd like to do an action film where I could kick someone's a*s. I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody."

The petite actress believes she has the physical attributes needed to take on the gruelling demands of action stunts and has the ability to "climb anything".

She said: "I have really strong legs. I inherited them from my dad, who has tree stumps for legs, basically. I've got big calves that look good. When I wear heels, it looks like I've worked out my legs a lot, which is why I love them. I also have a big, big big toe. I call it my goat toe. I can climb anything."

'High School Musical 3' wins at Kids Choice Awards

"High School Music 3: Senior Year" graduated with honors Saturday at the Kids Choice Awards.

The Disney musical was selected as the favorite movie by audience votes at the 22nd annual slime-filled Nickelodeon spectacle held inside UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens was also selected as the favorite movie actress.

"Lately, a lot of people have been taking credit for bringing back the musical," Zac Efron said while accepting the movie's trophy. "The truth is we've known who's been responsible for bringing back the musical all along. It was you guys!"

The show's hijinks kicked off with host and "Race to Witch Mountain" star Dwayne Johnson zip-lining over the audience of screaming teens and tweens into a "slime temple." Johnson proceeded to spray the first row with gooey green slime. Other shenanigans included squirting singer Jesse McCartney with a fake microphone and Will Farrell slipping and sliding down a hill.

Winners included "iCarly" for TV show, "American Idol" for reality show, Jonas Brothers for music group and "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" for animated movie. Jack Black arrived in motorcycle sidecar to pick up his award for favorite voice from an animated film for "Kung Fu Panda."

Miley Cyrus was brought to tears when she was announced as favorite female singer.

"I really thought I was gonna lose, so thank you, guys," said Cyrus.

Johnson said over 90 million viewer votes were cast at Nick's Web site. Instead of envelopes, blimp recipients were revealed from inside spy-like steel briefcases. Some held surprises throughout the show. Before presenters Sandra Bullock and Hugh Jackman announced the "Twilight" series as favorite book, a briefcase doused the pair with green slime.

The green theme took on an entirely different meaning when Cameron Diaz presented her "Gangs of New York" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio with the first-ever Big Green Help Award. The "Titanic" and "Revolutionary Road" actor was selected to receive the green blimp trophy because of his contribution and promotion of environmental issues.

"Right now, our mother — our mother — all of our mothers, Mother Earth is hurting," said DiCaprio. "And she needs a generation of thoughtful, caring and active kids like all of you to protect her for the future. You can help us win the battle to clean up our air, our water, our land, to protect our forests, our oceans and our wildlife."

Most of the blimp recipients were relegated to brief announcements before and after the commercials.

Among those winners were "Wizards of Waverly Place" star Selena Gomez for TV actress, "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" star Dylan Sprouse for TV actor, "SpongeBob SquarePants" for cartoon, Jesse McCartney for male singer, Beyonce's "Single Ladies" for song, Will Smith for movie actor, "Guitar Hero World Tour" for video game, Candace Parker for female athlete and Peyton Manning for male athlete.

Earlier this year, controversy found its way into the show when pop star Chris Brown withdrew his name from Kids' Choice contention. The nominations were announced shortly before his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend and fellow Kids' Choice nominee Rihanna. Neither was in attendance Saturday, and Rihanna, twice nominated, lost in both categories.

The show concluded with Johnson and a troop of Polynesian dancers summoning the "slime temple" to spew the sticky stuff all over the audience. Instead, the Jonas Brothers emerged and sang a cappella, causing slime to cascade over the boy band, Johnson, the dancers and much of the audience.

"What you guys don't know is that's real boogers," comedian Marlon Wayans said earlier in the show.

Zac Efron accidentally ate dog food recently.

The 'High School Musical' star snacked on some cupcakes his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens had left on the table, but was shocked to discover she had bought them for her dogs.

A source said: "Vanessa bought her pet dog Shadow some cakes from upscale pet store The Wagging Tale. She left them on the counter, and Zac ate a few.

He said that they were good, if a little bland."

This is not the first time Zac's bizarre diet has been laid bare - his 'High School Musical' co-star Vanessa previously admitted he liked drinking raw eggs for breakfast.

After revealing Zac doesn't often eat cereal for breakfast, Vanessa explained: "He's more of an eggs kind of guy. If he's feeling lazy he just drinks them. Not most of the time, but every now and then."

"High School Musical 3" remains atop N. American box office

Disney's song-and-dance film "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," which opened last week as the biggest-grossing musical movie ever, remained atop the box office in North America this weekend, according to preliminary figures released Sunday.

The first big-screen version and third installment of the original made-for-television franchise by Disney Channel is expected to take in 15 million dollars over the three-day period, with 61.8 million dollars over two weeks in U.S. and Canadian theaters.

Meanwhile, HSM3 took in about 26 million dollars overseas this weekend, being No. 1 in each of its 26 international markets and with a foreign total of 85 million dollars since its release. It has grossed nearly 150 million dollars globally in just 10 years.

The Weinstein Company's comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" debuted in No. 2 with 10.7 million dollars. The R-rated film is about two cash-strapped roommates who try to make adult films to pay off their bills.

Last week's runner-up "Saw V" slipped to No. 3 with 10.1 million dollars over the weekend, while "Changeling" from Oscar-winning director Clint Eastwood and actress Angelina Jolie, was in No. 4 with 9.4 million dollars as it expanded to wide release.

In "Changeling," which was based a legal case in 1920s Los Angeles, Jolie played a single mother who fights against the city's bureaucratic police department after her son disappears.

New release "The Haunting of Molly Hartley," a horror film from Freestyle Releasing, was in No. 5 with 6 million dollars over the Halloween weekend, which saw Hollywood's overall sales slumping as the holiday fell on Friday coincidentally this year.

The top-selling 12 movies took in about 75.17 million dollars collectively this weekend, down about 38 percent from the same period last year. It was the first "down" weekend for Hollywood after five "up" weekends.
