Gwyneth Paltrow's Spanish dream
Gwyneth Paltrow says Spain has "become a second home".The 'Iron Man' star spent a lot of time in the Mediterranean country filming cooking show 'On the Road Again' with chef Mario Batali and would happily leave New York and move there permanently.
The 36-year-old actress said: "It is so different from the United States. It seemed to have a history, and the buildings are years and years and years old. Here in the United States an old building is about 17 years old, and over there it's from 500 B.C., it's incredible.
"Also, the way people live over there. They seem to enjoy life a little bit more. They aren't running around as much as in New York. They enjoy time with the family. They don't always have their BlackBerry on."
Gwyneth has two children, Apple, five, and Moses, three, with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and loves to boast about their linguistic abilities.
She added: "Moses speaks a little bit of Spanish, but understands everything. Apple speaks a lot."
It's not the first time Gwyneth has criticised the American way of life.
In 2006, she sparked controversy when she told a Portuguese paper she liked "the English lifestyle" because it's not as "capitalistic" as the US.
She was quoted as saying: "People don't talk about work and money... they talk about interesting things at dinner."
Gwyneth later claimed she was misquoted.

Gwyneth Paltrow jealous of Scarlett
Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly jealous of the attention Scarlett Johansson is receiving of the set of their latest movie. The 'Shakespeare in Love' actress is said to be annoyed with her 'Iron Man 2' co-star's attitude leading to a frosty atmosphere between the two screen beauties.
A source said: "Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett. They come from different worlds and have completely different styles.
"Gwyneth has found Scarlett very demanding for the attention of the crew. It's not a happy set."
Gwyneth - who reprises her role as Pepper Potts in the superhero movie, based on the Marvel comic book series - is also said to be upset producers decided to cast 24-year-old Scarlett in the part of sexy former spy Natasha Romanoff.
The source added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Gwyneth and Scarlett have never been particularly close. Gwyneth was looking forward to working with Emily Blunt, who was originally in line for the part, but it ended up being Scarlett.
"Gwyneth's had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven't developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the halfway point."
Gwyneth, 36, has now taken a break from filming to join her husband Chris Martin as he continues to tour the US with his band Coldplay.
Once she returns, the mother-of-two will shoot the movie's main action scenes, something she is looking forward to.

Meanwhile, Gwyneth admits she broke down in tears while filming new movie 'Iron Man' because she was away from her two children, Apple, four, and two-year-old Moses. She added: "Some days I'd think, 'Oh, my God, they're in the bath right now and I'm not there.' I'd cry in my trailer! But I realised it's OK for me to want to express that part of myself. It's why I'm here. But I'll never go back to exploiting it the way I did. Never!
