Timberlake gets restraining order against woman described as celebrity stalker

Court records show Justin Timberlake has been granted a temporary restraining order against a woman his attorney described as an obsessed stalker.

A Los Angeles judge granted the “SexyBack” singer a protective order against Karen J. McNeil on Friday.

Timberlake’s attorney describes her in court filings as a “mentally unstable celebrity stalker.” The papers state McNeil was placed in protective psychiatric custody by police after she trespassed at the singer’s home earlier this week.

The filings indicate it’s the third time the 48-year-old woman has showed up at Timberlake’s home and that she may be homeless.

Attempts to find a phone number for McNeil were unsuccessful.

The judge will consider whether to grant a three-year restraining order at a Nov. 9 hearing.

Timberlake christens eco-friendly golf course

This image provided by Picture Group shows Justin Timberlake at the opening of the Mirimichi Golf Course, which he founded, on Friday July 24, 2009, in Memphis, Tenn.

Justin Timberlake celebrated the opening of his renovated, environmentally friendly golf course in style on the 10th tee — by smacking his drive 291 yards.

The singer and actor smiled Saturday after the tee-off, saying "nobody's happier about this course" than he is.

Timberlake was the first to play a round at his Mirimichi golf course near Memphis, Tenn., after he spent $16 million renovating the course to make it more eco-friendly.

Timberlake drew a crowd of about 50 onlookers after starting an early round of 18 holes at 7:30 a.m.

He played Saturday with his mother, stepfather and an old family friend from Tennessee.

The Memphis native got the idea to buy the course from his dad back in 2007.

Justin Timberlake's Guy duet

Justin Timberlake jammed with Guy Ritchie on Monday night (29.06.09).

The 28-year-old singer rushed to Madonna's ex-husband's London pub The Punchbowl after enjoying a late dinner at The Wolseley.

After greeting each other with a hug, the pair - who became friends when Justin worked with Madonna on hit single '4 Minutes' - downed pints of lager, before dusting off a banjo and a guitar and belting out a few songs.

An onlooker said: "Justin got there about 11.30pm. Guy had been there since 8pm and the night quickly got very merry. At one point they were in such high spirits, Guy picked up a banjo and handed Justin a guitar and they had a little singsong."

Justin - who is dating actress Jessica Biel - left the pub at around 1am, and headed to a private party in Mayfair, before returning to his hotel at 2.30am. Justin has been linked with starring in a tribute concert to Michael Jackson - who died of a suspected cardiac arrest last Thursday (25.06.09) - but admits he would be "cautious" about taking part.

The 'SexyBack' singer told London's Evening Standard newspaper: "It is extremely tragic - there really was only king. It's an honour to be considered for a tribute to the greatest of all time but also there is a level of just me as a fan that would feel very cautious about doing something like that. "Like anyone else in the world I'm his biggest fan. I just feel like if there would be any pretension, it would not be good.

That's my worry. I understand tributing somebody who is so influential to every artist of our generation. It would have to be done properly."

Concert promoters AEG are said to be trying to organise a series of concerts to fill some of the dates allocated for Jackson's 50-date residency at London's O2 Arena, which was due to begin later this month. In addition to the 'Like I Love You' star, they are also reportedly trying to recruit Diana Ross and Ne-Yo.

Justin Timberlake's 'lucky' love life

Justin Timberlake says his life with Jessica Biel is "beautiful".

The 'SexyBack' singer thinks he is "really lucky" to be dating the 'Illusionist' star because she has a great sense of humour.

He said: "We get along so well. The first thing we noticed when we started going out is how easily we made each other laugh. Sometimes when you meet someone it feels right from the beginning.

"We have a natural way of being together. I'm a lucky guy. I've been very lucky to find a woman as dynamic and as loving as Jessica.

"Work has always been a huge focus in my life but now I realise how beautiful it can be to have someone incredible to share it with."

The 28-year-old star insists he and Jessica don't let their worldwide fame affect their time together.

He explained: "We do pretty much everything we want to do. Sometimes we get spotted by paparazzi but usually we can find a quiet place to eat and no one will bother us.

"It can be distracting but you learn to keep walking and pay no attention."

Justin also revealed his plans include another solo album and pursuing his career in acting.

He added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "I'm always thinking about music and I'm involved in a lot of projects. Eventually, I'll feel the urge to commit to a new album. But that's for later. I'm having fun working with artists and playing with musical ideas and concepts.

"I'm sure all that will help me come up with a concept for an album. I love acting too. I want to find more good roles. I've always had a natural talent as a performer."

Charity climber Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake is to climb an African mountain for charity.

The 'SexyBack' singer is currently preparing for a week-long trek up Mount Kilimanjaro - the world's largest free standing mountain - with rapper Lupe Fiasco and US singer Kenna to raise awareness of the global water crisis.

He said: "I've been training four times a week to get my VO2 - oxygen consumption - levels up to expand my lungs. We'll climb for a week straight, carrying 30 lbs on our backs. It's going to be intense, but it's going to be so rewarding. "We're going to be ready for it."

Ethiopian-born Kenna - real name Kenna Zemedkun - recently revealed he came up with the idea to bring awareness to something close to his heart.

He said: "My dad almost died as a child from waterborne diseases in Ethiopia, and he had talked to me about digging a well there, and I thought, 'I have too many friends who would be concerned with the subject of clean water.

Maybe I can help out.' " The three musicians are not the only celebrities embark on a gruelling charity trek up the Tanzanian mountain recently.

Last month, nine British stars - Girls Aloud singers Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh and Take That musician Gary Barlow - raised millions for the Comic Relief charity when they climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Fashion lovers Justin, Jessica fall for New York runway

Justin Timberlake and his actress girlfriend Jessica Biel have both taken to the fashion runway during the ongoing New York's Fall 2009 Fashion Week.

The Grammy-winning pop singer rocked the runway during the premiere of his William Rast fashion show while Jessica was sitting in the front row on Monday night. After the show, the two love birds hung out together at Rose bar in downtown New York City.
Singer Justin Timberlake watches a drive during the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada, Oct. 15, 2008.

With a show like the William Rast fashion event, it's no wonder Justin topped GQ magazine's Most Stylish Men in America list.

Earlier Justin shared his rules for looking stylish to reporters. They include: "If you're going to do something, do it right," and the always important "Never — and we mean never — dress yourself around a hat."

As for his signature style of wearing a suit with sneakers, Justin said it was more a matter of practicality than design.

Cast member Jessica Biel attends the premiere of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California, July 12, 2007.

"I just put sneakers on because I couldn't dance in the shoes I had. I couldn't leap with just insoles and dress shoes. I would've hurt myself," said Justin, who rose to fame as a singer with the boy band 'N Sync and went solo in 2002.

Justin, 28 and Jessica, 26, are reportedly set to move in together after he purchased a 5.5-million-U.S.-dollar apartment in New York's exclusive TriBeCa district.

Earlier this year, it was claimed Justin was planning to propose to Jessica after he reportedly splashed out on an expensive vintage ring during their romantic holiday in Rome, Italy.

Justin - who turned 28 on Saturday - was stunned when he arrived at Los Angeles' Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's lavish penthouse suite to find his friends and family waiting to celebrate his special day.

A source said: "Justin was totally blown away when he walked in. He had no idea."

The 100 guests - including Justin's best friend Trace Ayala, the singer's cousins and Jessica's brothers - were treated to pizza, buffalo wings and red velvet cupcakes.

Jessica and Justin, who have been dating for over a year, looked more in love than ever at the party.

The source added to People magazine: "They held hands and relaxed. They seemed very happy together."

Justin wasn't the only celebrity to celebrate his birthday over the weekend.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi - who got married last August - threw a star-studded joint party at their Beverly Hills house on Saturday.

Justin Timberlake will never get married

Justin Timberlake will never get married, says his close friend Trace Ayala. Although the 'SexyBack' singer is smitten with girlfriend Jessica Biel, business partner Ayala insists Justin has no plans to settle down.

Cast member Justin Timberlake attends the premiere of "The Love Guru" at the Grauman's Chinese theatre in Hollywood, California June 11, 2008. The movie opens in the U.S. on June 20.

When asked if Justin was thinking of marrying Jessica, Ayala said: "I hope so. To be honest, I don't see wedding bells in the future, but I hope so. I really do." Ayala insists the couple - who have been dating for around a year - are perfect for each other and their relationship is stronger than ever.

He added to Us Weekly magazine: "It is not just Jessica, it is also him when he is with her - it is awesome. They are just awesome together. She is just a great girl." Earlier this month, it was claimed Justin had been seen shopping for a wedding ring and was planning to pop the question to the 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry' actress. Justin Timberlake's ring search

Justin Timberlake's ring search

Justin Timberlake has been shopping for an engagement ring. The singer is planning to propose to Jessica Biel and is asking her close friends to help him choose the perfect diamond band.

Singer Justin Timberlake reacts as he holds two of his awards for songs "My Love" and "Until the End of Time" during the 25th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, April 9, 2008.

A pal of Jessica's told the Chicago Sun Times newspaper: "Justin has been ring shopping, and we're talking serious, major Harry Winston-type shopping here. "He has been quizzing Jessica's closest pals and associates, trying to get a take on the kind of engagement rings she has admired.

The only comment I ever heard Jessica make was when she complimented a mutual friend's square-cut emerald ring - when a girlfriend of ours got engaged. It was huge!" Justin's friends claim the 'SexyBack' singer realised he wanted to take his relationship with Jessica to the next level after their busy work schedules kept them apart for long periods.

Last month, it was claimed Justin was ready to marry Jessica on the privately owned island of Mustique in the West Indies. A source said: "Justin is 27 and thinking about marriage and kids. For the first time in his life he is feeling settled and has definitely decided to pop the question to Jessica."

Justin Timberlake's Biel proposal

Justin Timberlake's Biel proposal

Justin Timberlake is planning to propose to Jessica Biel. The singer is going to pop the question to the 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry' actress, who sparked rumours she is pregnant after she recently stopped drinking.

A source said: "Justin is 27 and thinking about marriage and kids. For the first time in his life he is feeling settled and has definitely decided to pop the question to Jessica. "He is so happy with her.
They spent quite a bit of time apart recently when Justin was working with Madonna. That made him certain Jessica was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with." It has also been revealed the 'SexyBack' singer is planning to fly friends and family to the exclusive 1,400-acre privately owned island of Mustique in the West Indies for the wedding, to prevent paparazzi from photographing the ceremony.

The source added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "To get all his friends and family to Mustique will cost a fortune but he can't put a price on how he feels about Jessica. Then there are the rumours about a baby being on the way."
