Leonardo DiCaprio splits from Bar

Leonardo DiCaprio has split from his supermodel girlfriend.

The 'Revolutionary Road' star, who has been dating Bar Refaeli on and off since 2005, has reportedly decided he needs some space from the Israeli-born beauty.

It has been claimed the relationship fizzled out because 24-year-old Bar was keen to settle down and set up home with the actor, while Leonardo didn't feel he was ready to fully commit to her.

A source told People magazine: "They're taking time off for the time being, they've split. It could just end up as a break, but for now they're doing their own thing.

"She wanted to move faster than he did, she wanted to move in together, sohe broke it off."

Reports the relationship was in trouble surfaced after Leonardo, 34, wasseen flirting with several women while he partied in New York's Avenue club last month.

A source revealed: "He was standing at the bar in front of everyone talkingto a girl the entire night - and it wasn't Bar. It was in no way behaviour for a guy who has a serious girlfriend."

Bar also hinted the romance was on the rocks when she appeared at Hollywood Life's 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards alone last Sunday (07.06.09).

When asked for advice on making relationships work, Bar replied: "Oh, I am not going to get into that."

Leonardo and Bar briefly split late last year, before rekindling their romance in December.

Earlier this year, it was claimed Bar's father Rafael Refaeli had forbidden the Sports Illustrated model from marrying outside her Jewish faith and Leonardo would have to convert if they wed.

Leonardo DiCaprio helps Titanic survivor

Cast member Kate Winslet poses with co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at the premiere of the movie "Revolutionary Road" at the Mann Village theatre in Westwood, California December 15, 2008. The movie opens limitedly in the U.S. on December 26.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have donated money to the last survivor of the Titanic disaster.

The Hollywood pair - who starred in the 1997 movie based on the 1912 sinking of the ill-fated ship - and the film's director James Cameron contributed $30,000 to a fund for Millvina Dean, 98, to help her remain in an English nursing home.

Leonardo and Kate decided to help after seeing an appeal by photographer Don Mullan in the Irish Independent newspaper.

Don had been trying to sell a special photograph of Millvina's hands, titled 'Still Surviving', to raise money to help her. He then decided to reach out to those who worked on the film for help.

He said: "An old woman, still trying to survive, this time from drowning under the weight of meeting her nursing home expenses, simply wasn't right, especially given the enormous sums of money the story of the Titanic had generated in the recent past.

"There were people out there who could, and I felt, morally should, help her. To fail Millvina Dean, the last tangible living link to the Titanic, would make a mockery of the world's expressed concern for the tragedy."

Millvina was just nine weeks old when she was taken on board the ship as it set sail for America from Southampton, England, in 1912.
