Undoubtedly the most powerful couple in the music scene right now, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z pocketed more than $72 million over the past year, earning them a steady position as number two on Forbes' list. The R&B diva hauled in $35 million from deals and endorsements while the rap mogul earned his portion from the 10-year $150 million Live Nation deal and as a shareholder in New Jersey Nets, 40/40 Club chain and ad firm Translation.

Beyonce Knowles pregnant?

Beyonce Knowles is reportedly pregnant.

The 'Sweet Dreams' singer and her rapper husband Jay-Z - who married in a secret ceremony on April 4 2008 - are believed to be expecting their first child together, according to internet reports.

A spokesperson for the couple has refused to comment on the matter.

Beyonce's publicist Alan Nierob said: "We don't respond to private matter inquiries."

Last November, it was reported the couple were trying for a baby.

At the time, a source said: "Jay-Z's normally very secretive but he is so excited about the prospect of becoming a dad, he just let slip that they're trying for a baby."

However, around the same time the 28-year-old singer admitted she wanted to focus on being a wife before starting a family.

She said: "It's not time for that yet. But definitely there will be a time. I want to be a great mother, the kind of mother that I have. I want the same bond that I had with my mom and that would be enough for me.

"The security and love I feel being in a relationship, a marriage, it's absolutely incredible. Incredible."

She has also previously admitted that watching her sister Solange give birth put her off the experience.

Jay-Z demands $400,000 luxury cars and rooms heated to a specific temperature on his rider.

It has been claimed the rapper requests a chauffeured late-model black Maybach car, while his dressing room must be heated to 72 degrees Fahrenheit and have "adequate" relaxed lighting. In addition, Jay-Z requires supplies of Sapporo beer, vodka, tequila, two bottles of $300 champagne, two bottles of expensive 2004 Sassicaia red wine and a pack of Marlboro Lights cigarettes, according to expose website The Smoking Gun.

He also requests "good quality" peanut butter and grape jam, two fruit platters, chicken, cheese, one martini shaker and 12 shot glasses.

At a recent concert at the University of Arizona - for which he was paid $750,000 - organisers refused to comply with his requests, declining to supply him with alcohol, cigarettes or the luxury car.

Jay-Z is not the only star to make a long list of demands before agreeing to play a show. Rihanna recently issued a 38-page list of requests for a now-scrapped show in the United Arab Emirates, which included anti-bacterial soap, three lemons and several teaspoons.

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have been named Hollywood's highest-earning couple.

The married pair topped the list compiled by Forbes magazine after collectively making $162 million between June 1, 2007, and June 1, 2008.

Hip-hop star Jay-Z pocketed $82 million from a 10-year deal with Live Nation, while Beyonce raked in $80 million from film, fashion and publishing deals.

Clinical psychologist and celebrity researcher Jim Houran said: "Naturally powerful people tend to gravitate toward other powerful people."

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith finished second place in the list, with earnings of $85 million.

Will was responsible for $80 million of the couple's fortune, most of which came from his roles in box-office hits 'I Am Legend', 'The Pursuit of Happyness' and 'Hancock'. Together the three movies made $1.2 billion at the box office, making Will Hollywood's most bankable star.

British couple David and Victoria Beckham were third with $58 million.

The soccer star has made $50 million since his highly-publicised move to the Los Angeles Galaxy team.

Although his salary from the club stands at $5.5 million, he boosted his income twofold by taking a cut of the team's ticket, merchandise and sponsorship sales. David made a further $35 million through endorsement deals.

Victoria earned $8 million thanks to her hugely successful Spice Girls reunion tour and clothing lines.

Other stars to make the top 10 include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban and Eva Longoria and Tony Parker.

The list takes into account money made from film, TV, and music projects, business ventures, endorsement deals and fashion lines.
