The battle of September covers of renowned magazines is on.

September, the month that marks the change of seasons, is critical for magazines. Editors give it all they've got in coming up with great ideas and producing an excellent issue.

The cover, as the first thing readers see, naturally becomes the most important part that goes into making a magazine. The best of the best will be used, from photographers, stylists, makeup artists and the most attractive and 'in' models or stars.

Cosmopolitan invited Angelababy, a Hong Kong based model, to add new vitality into the cover. Harper's BAZAAR asked Tang Wei to shoot a face-shot cover with dazzling and charming red lips. Zhang Ziyi and Shu Qi both collaborated with ELLE and shot feminine and graceful covers. Vogue and Marie Claire gathered supermodels to cover this significant month.

Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has joined hands with top-class men's magazine Esquire and worked up quite a transformation for the magazine's 15th anniversary issue. Her delicate features and beautiful locks were nowhere to be seen with her new 'bald' head and masculine expression, making her stand out among the numerous feminine covers of other magazines.

This is the third time Fan Bingbing worked with Esquire. When asked whether she is scared for her upcoming 30th birthday, Fan replied: "I'm scared of drinks with color, nightmares and tanning under the sun, but I'm not afraid of turning 30."

5. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: $40 million

"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have both hauled in $20 million last year. The "Twilight" series have earned the couple their fame and pay, but with the franchise coming to an end, these young starlets must both prepare for post-vampire careers. Will they become one-hit wonders? Hopefully not, and I wish them both the best.

4. David Beckham and Victoria Beckham: $45 million

With a total earning of $45 million, David Beckham is in fourth place with his wife, Victoria. The football superstar's falling position in the athletic world did not seem to affect the number of zeros in his paycheck. Beckham has earned a total of $40 million from endorsements like Adidas and Samsung, while wife "Posh" Spice cashed in the other $5 million from the earnings from her fashion line.

3. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: $50 million

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt came in third on list with an annual income of $50 million. Jolie currently holds the title as the highest-paid actress in the world and made $30 million for starring in only two movies in the 12-month period. Pitt, on the other hand, cashed in about $20 million, and has been keeping himself busy both as a producer and an actor.

2. Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z: $72 million

Undoubtedly the most powerful couple in the music scene right now, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z pocketed more than $72 million over the past year, earning them a steady position as number two on Forbes' list. The R&B diva hauled in $35 million from deals and endorsements while the rap mogul earned his portion from the 10-year $150 million Live Nation deal and as a shareholder in New Jersey Nets, 40/40 Club chain and ad firm Translation.

If the combination is right, two of anything can act together to produce a sum that's larger than two. However, according to Forbes, one plus one equals "millions" when it comes to celebrity couples - $283 million, to be exact. That's the estimated sum earned by the world's highest-paid celebrity couples between May 2010 and May 2011, according to data from Forbes' latest Celebrity 100 list.

1. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady: $76 million

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen had a busy year, thanks to her fashion and endorsement deals and a few business ventures. With a $45 million paycheck in her pocket, Bundchen could become the world's first billionaire supermodel. NFL superstar Tom Brady, who married Bundchen in 2009, has just signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension with the New England Patriots. He has earned a whopping $31 million within the 12-month period, putting the duo's gross annual earning at $76 million.

Kim Kardashian to earn 18m from wedding

Kim Kardashian will reportedly earn up to $18 million from her wedding.

The reality TV star's marriage to basketball ace Kris Humphries took place on Saturday (20.08.11) in Montecito, California, and while no expense was spared on nuptials and the 440 guests, the couple are said to be netting a huge sum from their big day.

The wedding was filmed for a four-hour, two part TV special to be shown by E!, for which the New York Post newspaper claims they will receive between $12 and $15 million.

People magazine is believed to have paid $2.5 million for the exclusive rights to the happy couple's wedding photos and a further $300,000 for the engagement shots, while Britain's OK magazine is said to have paid $100,000 for exclusive pictures of the bridal shower.

The couple were also able to use their celebrity and the media exposure of the wedding to help get discounts on goods for the wedding too.

Los Angeles based celebrity event planner Tony Schubert said: "It benefits the vendors, their goods and services to be shown to millions of people."

Among the free items the couple reportedly received for the wedding were the three Vera Wang dresses Kim wore during the ceremony and reception, worth $20,000 each, $400,000 in Perrier Jouet Champagne, and $10,000 worth of wedding invitations.

They were also said to have been gifted their 10 layer wedding cake from Hansen's Bakery - which at six feet tall towered over Kim - thought to be worth $15,000.

Kim and Kris are set to continue their wedding celebrations, with a second ceremony planned for New York early next week.

Despite all of the talk of money, the wedding day had many priceless touching moments, particularly the entrance of 21-month old ring bearer, Mason, the son of Kim's sister Kourtney.

Guest Kathie Lee Gifford said: "If it's possible to steal the thunder from Kim Kardashian Humphries, it was Mason. He was just the cutest thing. It just reminded me of the study in contrast.

"It was typically Kardashian, over-the-top, crazy, but ultimately it comes down to family."

Selena Gomez gets helping hand from Taylor

Taylor Swift solves all of Selena Gomez's problems.

The two stars are close friends and Selena - who is dating teenage singing sensation Justin Bieber - knows she can always turn to the 'Love Story' hitmaker when she needs advice.

Selena said: "Every problem I ever have is healable by Taylor Swift.

"What I love about Taylor is she believes in the whole love story - Prince Charming, soul mates. Because of her, I haven't lost faith."

Selena also tries to be a supportive friend to Taylor, and revealed she helped the 21-year-old beauty through her 2008 split from Joe Jonas.

She explained: "When Taylor was going through a hard time breaking up with Joe Jonas, we'd make each other playlists.

"I'd send her some girl-empowering music and she'd send some back.

"We had 'Since U Been Gone' by Kelly Clarkson and 'Hot N Cold' by Katy Perry."

As well as Taylor, Selena is also friends with Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, and although there are pop rivals the 'Monte Carlo' actress has never felt jealous of their successes.

She told Top of the Pops magazine: "It's not normal for me to feel jealous. I'm competitive with myself, more than anything.

"And anyway, all of my friends in the business are bigger than me."

Brad and Angelina charter train

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie chartered an entire train to transport their family from London to Glasgow, Scotland, today (16.08.11).

The couple took their brood - Maddox, 10, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - on the private Virgin train for the five-hour journey to the Scottish city, where the actor is set to shoot scenes for his new movie 'World War Z'.

A spokeswoman for Virgin Trains confirmed to Mail Online: "As far as I am aware, Brad and Angelina hired the whole train.

"It is a bespoke service so prices would vary on the individual, people have different needs from station requirements to catering."

The movie's creators are aiming to transform Glasgow into Philadelphia for the motion picture, with yellow taxis and white police cars, similar to those in the US city, set to be introduced, as well as signs for famous locations such as John F Kennedy Boulevard.

The 36-year-old beauty has recently been spotted out and about with the couple's children in Richmond, south west London, while the Hollywood hunk films 'World War Z' scenes on a ship in Falmouth, Cornwall.

Angelina took Shiloh and Zahara on a shopping spree to The Toy Station boutique in the town and was spotted leaving with various treats for her kids including cowboy guns, tattoo transfers, 'Ben 10' action figures and sticker packs.

Tamsin Egerton's girl crush

Tamsin Egerton has a crush on Eva Green.

The British actress starred alongside the French beauty in TV drama 'Camelot' and was overawed by the model-and-actress' effortless sexiness.

She said: "Eva is so poised, so elegant, always dressed in Chanel. Men just drop at her feet. I don't think Eva even tries, it's just the way she talks to you - very intense and she kind of flirts with you."

The 'St. Trinians' actress also insisted she doesn't mind having to strip for movie roles, and thinks it is "bizarre" how much attention is paid to nude scenes.

She added to InStyle magazine: "It's bizarre how people react to nude scenes. I've never thought of my boobs as something to be proud of necessarily, they are what they are and everyone's got them."

While the 22-year-old beauty found working on 'Camelot' "amazing", she admits things didn't get off to a good start as she collapsed on the first day of filming.

She explained: "It was an amazing part to get. The role was extremely sought-after so every minute of every day I was living my dream and was never going to take it for granted.

"On my first day, I was filming in the Irish Sea and I nearly got hypothermia. I had to keep getting in the sea - it was like walking into an ocean of ice. It just took its toll and I collapsed. They had to wrap me in foil as I went a bit delirious."

Jessica Alba welcomes second daughter

Jessica Alba has become a mother for the second time.

The actress - who already has a three-year-old daughter, Honor, with husband Cash Warren - gave birth to another girl on Saturday (13.08.11).

The couple have decided to name the tot - who weighed in at 7lbs - Haven Garner Warren and both mother and baby are doing well.

Jessica announced the happy news on her Facebook page, writing: "She was born on Saturday, weighed 7 lbs. and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy! Big sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family.

"Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me."

Before the birth, Jessica revealed how she couldn't wait to meet her new baby as she had already bonded with the tot during her pregnancy.

The 30-year-old beauty said: "The idea of loving someone as much as I love Honor is something I haven't wrapped my head around yet. But I know I will and I can't wait. As a mother carrying a baby we get to bond while the baby is growing - reaching each milestone, feeling hiccups, kicks, rolling around. It's the blessing I think we get for all the round-ligament pain, sciatic pain and frequent trips to the bathroom.

"I'm signed up at three mommy sites that update me daily and weekly on the baby's development, which is probably a bit much. But it's a nice break from the day to check in with the baby, because, like everything else in life these days, time flies."
