Nicole Richie granted order

Nicole Richie has been granted a temporary restraining order against two paparazzi who harass her "on a daily basis."

The 28-year-old socialite - who was involved in a car accident last month when two photographers, Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel, crashed into her vehicle - said they had caused her "severe emotional distress."

A statement filed by Nicole - who is dating Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden - claimed the two photographers would "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in their vehicle."

Nicole added: "I am fearful that their continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle."

The two men have been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Nicole and her two children, Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, six weeks.

A Los Angeles judge issued the temporary order on Friday (30.10.09) and a further hearing on November 16 will determine whether the instruction will be made permanent.

Following last month's accident, Eduardo, who was driving the car which hit Nicole's, was arrested for driving without a license. He was released on $1,225 bail.

Nicole Richie's pregnancy pickle

Nicole Richie is craving pickles.

The pregnant star, who already has a 16-month-old daughter Harlow, begged her partner Joel Madden to buy her some brine-soaked savoury snacks during a family day out recently.

A source said: "After enjoying lunch with Harlow at Beverly Hills deli Nate 'n Al, Nicole told Joel she wanted some pickles to go. Joel popped back in the eatery and came out seconds later with the goods."

However, Joel was forced to return to the cafe because Nicole was upset with him for buying the wrong type of pickle. The source added to the National Enquirer magazine: "Nicole told him, 'These aren't the right ones,' and sent him back. Joel finally got the order right the second time round."

Nicole is due to give birth in August and it was recently claimed the couple are expecting a boy after the pair were spotted buying blue baby items.

A source said: "Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and - surprise, surprise - it's blue! Plus, Nicole recently ordered some plush animals and infant toys, and everything just happens to be blue." Nicole, 27, has also been referring to her unborn baby as "he".

Nicole Richie's family fate

Nicole Richie will let fate decide how many children she has.

The 27-year-old star's boyfriend Joel Madden - who recently announced the couple are expecting their second child - is unsure how big their family will be because they don't have a baby making schedule.

He said: "We let love plan our babies. We said even before this one that we didn't know how many kids we were going to have - then we got pregnant!"

The Good Charlotte frontman - who has a 14-month-old daughter Harlow Winter with Nicole - says his mother was the first to suspect Nicole was pregnant again.

He told KIIS FM radio host Ryan Seacrest: "My mom called me and she's like, 'Is Nicole...?' Every time, I'm like, 'Mom, come on, seriously. I would tell you.' And then I swear, two weeks later it comes true. But we're excited about it. It's going to be great."

Joel has also revealed he finds it difficult leaving Nicole and their daughter behind when he tours with his band.

He explained: "That's hard man, when you leave your kids and they're saying no. I wrote a song for Harlow."

Nicole Richie praises Aguilera

Nicole Richie poses during a news conference for the television show "The Simple Life 5" in Los Angeles April 9, 2007. The fifth season of the television show premieres on the E! network in May 2007.

Nicole Richie thinks Christina Aguilera is a "great wife."

The "Simple Life"' star befriended the "Car Wash" singer when they gave birth to their first children, Harlow and Max, last January.

Nicole said: "Christina and I haven't known each other long but we met through mutual friends. Because we had our babies at the same time - they were born one day apart - we've got to know each other.

"She's a great wife, great mom and great singer. She does it all. And I'm sure Max gets better lullabies than Harlow!"

Singer Christina Aguilera poses at the Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai party in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles Aug. 23, 2008.

The 27-year-old socialite also spoke about her on/off friendship with hotel heiress Paris Hilton.

She said: "We went through a phase where we weren't speaking, but I think you can safely say that for anyone who has been friends for 25 years.

"I don't really get into fights with people, and if I ever had a falling out it has ultimately been resolved. It's part of growing up."

Nicole Richie's life recovery

Musician Joel Madden and wife Nicole Richie (R) pose at the opening of the Dolce & Gabbana flagship boutique in Los Angeles December 15, 2008, benefiting the Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization bringing creative projects to children who are battling serious medical conditions.

Nicole Richie's life "reads like a train wreck", according to her father Lionel.

The 59-year-old singer - who is Nicole's adoptive dad - admits he was "worried" about his daughter when she was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana and painkiller Vicodin in 2006, but is delighted with how she has turned her life around.

He said: "I was worried about her. I mean, her life story reads like a train wreck, but she has amazing powers of recovery. She went through her drug period, then came back to centre. She went through a car accident, then came back to centre.

She went through arrest, back to centre. Her ability to get through it and recover is amazing." Lionel, who is divorced from Nicole's adoptive mother Brenda, adds he is not sure he was the best father to Nicole - who has one-year-old daughter Harlow with her partner Joel Madden - as he often had to miss family events due to work.

He explained: "Because of the nature of my business and the fact that I travel so much, when I'm asked, 'Can you make it to the dinner party?' I don't know. 'Can you make it to the family reunion?' Well let's go back and look at my track record. For 20 years, the answer was: I never made one."
