Mila Kunis is newest face of Dior

Actress Mila Kunis is shown in this publicity photo for fashion house Dior, released to Reuters January 5, 2011.

"Friends with Benefits" actress Mila Kunis is the latest celebrity to become the face of Dior, the French fashion label said on Thursday.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Dior. The brand is iconic in so many ways. It defines fashion, elegance and sophistication," Kunis said in a statement.

Kunis, 28, will be the model for the Miss Dior handbag collection in the brand's Spring/Summer 2012 advertising campaign, appearing worldwide this month.

The "Black Swan" actress is joining her Oscar-winning co-star Natalie Portman, who is the face of the Miss Dior Cherie perfume, along with Charlize Theron, who is the face of the J'Adore Dior fragrance and French actress Marion Cotillard, who models the Lady Dior handbags. Theron and Cotillard are also recent Oscar winners.

French fashion house Christian Dior, part of LVMH luxury goods group, is a staple in the high-end clothing and beauty industry.

Mila Kunis: acting was 'babysitter'

Mila Kunis started acting because her family couldn't afford a babysitter.

The Ukranian-born actress moved to Los Angeles with her family when she was seven years old and enrolled in a drama class as a way to meet other children.

She said: "My English was a little janky. I didn't have very many friends. And there was this place advertised on the radio as a place for kids to meet other kids - an acting class. My parents couldn't afford a babysitter. They said, 'Great, that takes up our Saturday.' "

Mila - who voiced Meg in animated adult comedy series 'Family Guy' - also admitted she can't understand why other actors regard their profession as "art".

Speaking to the new issue of GQ magazine - in which she is named Knockout of the Year - she said: "I love what I do, but my theory is that it's people who doubt what they do and want to prove it to you, they're like 'It's art. I create art. It's art, art, art.' I'm like, Holy s**t, are you f***ing kidding me? I run around and pretend I'm someone else for twelve hours; I record 'Family Guy'. Then I get to go home and watch 'Jersey Shore'."

Mila Kunis gets 'hobbit' taunts

Mila Kunis gets called a "hobbit" by her friends.

The actress - who measures in at a mere 5 ft 4ins - gets constantly teased for being short but insists she is taller than most people think.

She said: "My friends call me hobbit. I come across shorter than I am. People will say, 'You're not five foot four.' And I'll say, 'People, I know my height.' I'm constantly winning bets - hundreds of dollars."

Hobbits are the diminutive characters from the 'Lord of the Rings' books and films.

Mila - who voices the character Meg Griffin in animated TV series 'Family Guy' - has also denied claims she has had plastic surgery, insisting if she were to go under the knife she wouldn't be embarrassed to admit it.

She added in an interview with the June issue of Esquire magazine, out this week: "Where are my boobs? If I were going to get plastic surgery, I'd get some real work done."

The 26-year-old star is slowly becoming aware of the internet phenomenon of "Meg porn" - which depicts the cartoon character in various compromising positions.

The 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' actress said: "I was at the Emmys last year, and I was in a really ladylike dress, and I felt like a lady, and I opened my phone and someone had sent me these pictures of Meg getting it on with the dog. That was my introduction to Meg porn."
