Kate Hudson kissing A-Rod

Kate Hudson has been seen "making out" with Madonna's rumoured ex-boyfriend.

The 'Bride Wars' actress and New York Yankees baseball star Alex 'A-Rod' Rodriguez couldn't keep their hands off each other as they enjoyed an intimate date at New York's Mustang Grill restaurant last weekend.

An onlooker told the New York Post newspaper: "Staff were asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1am because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out."

A waitress also confirmed the pair were at the eatery, celebrating Alex's team's win.

She said: "Yes, they were here together."

Other sources claim the smitten couple were spotted outside Alex's apartment block.

Alex, 33, and his wife Cynthia - with who he has two daughters - split in 2008 after she claimed he had "an affair of the heart" with Madonna.

Kate, 30 - who has a five-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson - was recently linked to ex-boyfriend Owen Wilson, who she has dated on/off since 2007.

June bride Kate Hudson

U.S. actress Kate Hudson arrives on the red carpet with her step-brother Wyatt Russell (L) during an event at Milan Fashion Week March 2, 2009. Dolce & Gabbana launched their debut makeup collection with a photo exhibition entitled "Extreme Beauty in Vogue".

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are planning to marry in June.

The couple - who have had an on/off relationship since 2006 - decided they were ready to commit after enjoying a romantic holiday together in France in February.

A source said: "They realised how devoted they are to each other. They don't want to ever be apart again "Kate and Owen don't feel the need for flashy engagement rings, they're planning to tie the knot in June."

The couple are said to be torn between having their wedding at Kate's mother Goldie Hawn's house in Aspen or Owen's home in Hawaii. They have decided to keep the ceremony small, and Kate - who has a five-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson - is shopping for a wedding dress.

A source added to the National Enquirer magazine: "She looked at some designers when she and Owen were in Paris.

She's really into Dior but hasn't chosen anything yet. She'll probably wear something simple and flowing. "Owen and Ryder have bonded so well since he and Kate first started dating. Owen already thinks of Ryder as his son. Owen is ready to have kids of his own with Kate, his biological clock is ticking."

Just say `I don't' to `Bride Wars'

In this image released by Twentieth Century Fox, Kate Hudson, left, and Anne Hathaway are shown in a scene from 'Bride Wars.'

The cliched comedy "Bride Wars" tosses out stereotypes about female materialism and cattiness with all the giddy gusto of a newly married woman flinging the bouquet at her single girlfriends.

It's amazing that two of the film's three writers are women: Casey Wilson of "Saturday Night Live" and June Diane Raphael (the third, Greg DePaul, also gets a story-by credit).

But what's just as baffling is the way in which director Gary Winick, who brought the radiant best out of Jennifer Garner in the 2004 charmer "13 Going on 30," manages to squander the appealing screen presence of Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. (Then again, the shrill material does him no favors.)

Hudson and Hathaway star as Liv and Emma, lifelong best friends who've obsessively fantasized about the ideal wedding since they were children in small-town New Jersey. Because that's what all girls do, right? Lavish nuptials represent the zenith to which we all aspire.

Anyway, when Liv and Emma both get engaged within days of each other, they accidentally book their weddings at New York's Plaza Hotel on the same date. The conflict is the result of a snafu at the office of wedding planner extraordinaire Marion St. Claire (a tart Candice Bergen), whom Liv and Emma gush over during their first appointment as if they were 12-year-olds at a Jonas Brothers concert.

Despite promising to be each other's maid of honor, neither will budge, which leads to an increasingly destructive game of sabotage and one-upmanship. The speed and ease with which they turn on each other is dizzying, and more painful to sit through than Hathaway's rehearsal-dinner toast in "Rachel Getting Married."

Emma, a normally passive schoolteacher, secretly sends Liv, a high-powered lawyer, chocolates and cookies so that she'll be too tubby to squeeze into her Vera Wang gown with its 10 tiers of tulle. (The smorgasbord of sweets leads to the movie's only true laugh-out-loud line. And it's such a relief when it comes.)

Liv, meanwhile, undermines one of Emma's spray-tan sessions and floats the rumor to their mutual girlfriends that — oops! — Emma may be pregnant. And on it goes.

It's unabashedly mean, yes — think of it as "The War of the Roses," and the peonies, and the hydrangeas — but it's also never all that funny. And since this incredibly shallow dilemma is the biggest problem facing these women, it's impossible to root for them to be happy or care whether their friendship survives.

Neither could have picked another date or found another venue? In all of New York, really? But alas, then there would have been no movie.

The climactic battle reveals the absolute worst in both, as they rip each other apart in a screechy frenzy of hair and veils and silk. But then "Bride Wars" wants to have it both ways; besides parodying the wedding industry while simultaneously embracing it, the film wants to wallow in the muck and tug at our hearts. It features one of those awkward moments of confession, apology and reconciliation that always seem to take place in a room full of hundreds of people. Nobody ever steps out to a hallway for these talks.

It's enough to make you wish Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn would crash the party and liven things up.

"Bride Wars," a Fox 2000 release, is rated PG for suggestive content, language and some rude behavior. Running time: 90 minutes. One star out of four.

Kate Hudson's ski break

Kate Hudson will spend Christmas trying to keep her son out of trouble on the ski slopes. The 29-year-old actress will spend the festive period skiing with four-year-old Ryder - her child with ex-husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson - in the mountains of Colorado.
She said: "Every year we go to Colorado because we grew up there and we ski." Ryder learned to ski last Christmas, mastering the slopes so quickly he was tackling advanced runs by the time Kate came to check on him.

She recalled: "I started panicking a little bit because I couldn't see him anywhere, and the instructor came over and said, 'Oh, actually, he's up on the mountain.' I'm standing there in my skis and I'm looking up and all of a sudden I see this little kid in camouflage and I'm like, 'No!' He is just zooming down the mountain and I started to cry?I grew up skiing, and then you see your kids ski and there's a freedom in it, it's beautiful."

Kate Hudson's son obsessed with her breasts

Kate Hudson's four-year-old son is obsessed with her breasts.

The 'Fool's Gold' actress revealed Ryder - her son with ex-husband Chris Robinson - has developed a keen interest in the female body and is always trying to lift up her top.

She told US talk show host Conan O'Brien: "I'm working on getting him off being interested in female parts. He thinks it's hilarious when he pulls off my shirt. He's four years old!"

Kate also admits she has trouble convincing Ryder to cut his long flowing locks as he wants to look like his rocker dad Chris.

She said: "I have managed to give him a haircut, it's just incremental!"

Meanwhile, Kate has yet again refused to comment on her relationship with cycling star Lance Armstrong.

When asked about the alleged romance, Kate said: "Yeah, I try not to talk about my personal life. I think somebody told me he was going to be on this show next week. You should ask him if we're dating."

The blonde beauty - who recently split from lover Owen Wilson - recently said she is happy for people to "speculate" about the relationship, but insisted she will never discuss details of her private life.

She said: "I don't discuss my personal life. It's better to let people speculate as much as they want to speculate. Opening up only causes more problems and more words taken out of context. Everything is always misconstrued."

Kate Hudson's Armstrong love

Kate Hudson's Armstrong love

Kate Hudson is dating Lance Armstrong, it has been claimed. The 'Fools Gold' actress - who was recently romantically linked to Owen Wilson - spent a romantic weekend with the seven-time Tour de France cycling champion at his home in Austin, Texas.

A source close to the couple said: "Kate and Lance have been dating for a couple of weeks. She and Lance are both physical, passionate people - she's never been happier."

The pair were spotted dining together in Austin on Friday night (16.05.08), and enjoyed a meal with Armstrong's three children at a different in the town on Saturday (17.05.08).

A restaurant insider said: "They looked like they were having fun." Kate first got to know Lance through ex-boyfriend Owen, who is close friends with the sportsman. Lance split from country singer fiancee Sheryl Crow in 2007 after a three-year relationship. Kate has a four-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson.
