Kelly Brook's gruelling diet

Kelly Brook has embarked on a gruelling diet and fitness regime with the help of her boyfriend, British rugby player Danny Cipriani.

The 29-year-old model is said to be so impressed by Danny's toned body she has asked him to come up with a plan to help her shape up after a calorific Christmas.

A source said: "Danny has an incredible physique and works really hard to maintain it. Watching him go off to the gym every day, Kelly has been inspired to follow suit and get fit.

"She also loves how much food he can eat on his regime, and thinks if a bit of hard work on the treadmill means she can eat what she likes then it's worth it."

Danny has reportedly made an intensive workout plan for Kelly, which includes power squats, bench presses and a variety of other exercises the 21-year-old sportsman uses in his training sessions with his rugby team the London Wasps.

The source added: "Danny thinks Kelly is beautiful as she is but agreed to devise a training programme for here. He has used one similar to that given to the Wasps boys, but obviously she is lifting far lighter weights. As well as sprint and interval training, Danny suggested some serious weightlifting work."

Kelly has also started asking Danny for tips on what she should eat to help her slim down.

The source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Kelly is eating more in line with Danny now - egg whites and lean, skinless chicken for breakfast and more protein. Any weight she put on over Christmas will go in no time.

"Kelly is really excited about her new lifestyle."

The Saturdays' natural talent

The Saturdays have denied they are a manufactured band, insisting "you can't manufacture talent".

The group - comprising Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Una Healy - shot to fame with their debut single 'If This Is Love' and are determined not to be a one-hit wonder.

Una said: "I think that we came along at the right time. People have a negative thing about bands who are put together - they think we are told what to sing and what to wear. They say that we are manufactured, but you can't manufacture talent."

Rochelle - who was a member of S Club Juniors with Frankie - added: "Frankie and I started, pop was very cheesy. Now it has more of an edge, and that's refreshing."

The group also denied there were any problems between them and chart rivals Girls Aloud when they supported the 'Love Machine' singers on their 'Tangled Up' Tour.

Mollie said: "People will want to hear that there was rivalry between us. But there wasn't any. On the first night, Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh came into our dressing room to wish us luck. They also spoke to us over dinner. They went out of their way to be nice to us."

Eva Mendes' adult appreciation

Eva Mendes - who can currently be seen in new movie 'The Spirit' - is grateful she was an adult before becoming famous as an actress.

Eva Mendes is grateful she was an adult before becoming famous as an actress.

The 34-year-old beauty - whose breakthrough role came in 2003's '2 Fast 2 Furious' when she was 28 - thinks a lot of actresses achieve fame at too young an age and can't handle it.
She said: "There are a lot of lost little souls in Hollywood - a lot of young women who have so much, who come into fame and fortune when they are young, and it's very difficult to handle that.

"I just thank my lucky stars for being an adult before being an actress."

Eva - who stars alongside Scarlett Johansson and Jaime King in new movie 'The Spirit' - also revealed she hates being quizzed about alleged feuds with her female co-stars.

She added: "It's a very sexist way of thinking. Nobody ever asks that when men work together in an ensemble cast. I have been in the business 10 years and I've never had a negative situation with another actress - ever!"

'Boring' Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale is "kind of boring".

The actress - who found worldwide fame starring as Sharpay Evans in the 'High School Musical' film franchise -prefers to concentrate on her work than go out partying with her friends.

She said: "I don't drink and I don't smoke. I'm not a good clubber and I never have been. I'm kind of boring. All of the 'High School Musical' cast are really good kids and we really like to keep that part of us normal.

"I love working - I love to do what I do. I like being creative and then going home."

Ashley, 23, also revealed she will really miss playing Sharpay - last year's 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year' was the final film in the franchise.

She added: "Sharpay is so much fun to play because she is the complete opposite to me. Stepping into someone else's shoes is what acting is all about. I hope when I leave the set I'm not like Sharpay though!"
